Salut there! I wanted to tell some about Istanbul, then about Saint Petersburg, and finally here are my pictures about Weimar!
I crossed the Alpes to get there and meet Papa in the Frankfurt airport and then we took a train to Weimar, the city of Goethe, Schiller, Bach, Liszt, Berlioz, Kandinsky, Schopenhauer, Richard Strauss, Wagner and Nietzsche.
there were plants on the train station
and then I found a mini-church close to our apt and drew it right away
Papa found the great pâtisserie on the corner
Except our endless bicycle running over all Weimar we got lots of lovely lazy hours in the Park an der Ilm
with its Shakespeare and ruins,
and Goethe house
and trees and flowers.
Also a little cemetry with sepulture of Lucas Kranach and one great café
and the view from terrace
and SURE the sculpture of Goethe and Schiller that now I love forever
We celebrated Pap's birthday and moved to Naumburg
that is in my next post! For a while take a look at Weimar in some REAL way (not my scribbles) -- with Liszt music since he lived there!
See you and à bientôt !

This is fantastic Erica. I really like travel journals and although I haven't tried doing a lot watercolor, it does make a nice light view. (Compared to acrylics that is). Your trip looks like it was really interesting. Thanks for joining us and sharing this at AJJ. Hugs-Erika
