Marseille sketchbook

Hi les ami(e)s! Some pages and views about Marseille where I've been for New Year days. Ah yes, too long ago, but only now thanks to current (eternal?) imprisonment I fished out these oldl drawings and also photos/videos.

Paris, Academ and other sketches and pics

So long time I haven't visited you, my luv blog

My trip to Paris -- I lived close to Boulevard Bonne Nouvelle (good news!)

and during 1.5 day there I picked some scraps of papers and some sketches.

Pastry and Lemons

To make my photoshop illustations for editions, web and prints, I usually take my quick sketches that I made in my daily life and travels.

This Choux pasty watercolor sketch, that I used for magazine article, was made in Naumburg, Germany:

Here, we needed to add some fruits in the menu booklet -- So I took this sketch from Istanbul: lemon, new bag and Galata Tower:

Nîmes -- Musée des Beaux Arts

In August I went to Nîmes, Yan was already there for work and I joined him just for a weekend. I made a whole sketchbook about its streets and people, but for the moment here are some pages that I made in the Fine Arts Museums.

Nîmes Week-end

Hi les ami(e)s ! Last weekend we spent in Nimes, ex outpost of the Roman Empire in France. I've been there once few years ago and even shown something here. But now my brain has changed. Or my eyes. I became too greedy for all these new points of the planet, so full of history and unknown new spirit that every new place gives you every time you're arrive there.

This is my pause at the Place of Herbes, in the Bar de Beaux Arts:

Pitty that I had just a couple of days, since there are so many things to draw, paint and put for good in a head or at least sketchbook .

So there again are some café sketches with some journaling on the run. It's good to have pencils, glue-stick and adhesive tape in the bag! Me and my husband in the bar L'instan T

I want to promise to show all the other things that I saw and drew a little -- streets, restaurants, roofs, gardens, museums of Nîmes -- but I promised Istanbul already, I remember. Also, a month ago I was in Saint-Pétersbourg! Oh Dieu, how I'd LOVE to show it all here! So I promise nothing, but I do keep it all in my mind! SeeU ❤

Olives and others

Sarlat little town

One year ago, almost, in May, we made an amazing travel all together -- me and Yan, Kent and Papa, and John and Mary from Cambridge (also from Norfolk). It was little medieval town in the southwestern France, in a region of the Périgord Noir -- Sarlat la Caneda, one of the towns most representative of 14th century France.

My recent week

Salut! So this week:

1) I noticed two beautiful things one day - a girl adoring rain (while I've been hiding under my umbrella) and italian priest in a catedral on Nevsky. I tried to imprint them in my diary. I shouldn't!! The girl became too long-limbed and the priest faceless/haughty. Ouuh((

2) I bought a book at second-hand bookseller and made 2 pencil lessons

- a hand and an old wood house

3) and finally apples. I never could get an apple in watercolor -- it always appears to be too flat -- and in general unprepossessing. So I painted these ones very fast - to avoid thinking and fears. Hope they reflect it a little

I'll try to get back other week again!

Some gesture drawings

I love to draw silly sketches sitting in front of my window with a coffee early morning.

Here are some scraps of paper, my fast fast drawing, I'd say pencil scribbles that I make when I have some short pause.

SN, kinda friend of mine. He's an orchestra conductor and a person with so much histories. By these stories he can make me laugh sometimes -- in fact it's not that easy taking into account my contemptuous look (so sorry 'bout it but that's my foolish nature) and that's why I keep this little friendship with him. We're walking around Petersburgs' rivers and channels

and sitting in some restos (with imaginary angel-cat that we invented)

I drew it in few minutes in my notebook through the other pictures that I've made before so a woman's face wedged here accidentally.
