Marseille sketchbook

Hi les ami(e)s! Some pages and views about Marseille where I've been for New Year days. Ah yes, too long ago, but only now thanks to current (eternal?) imprisonment I fished out these oldl drawings and also photos/videos.

I miss a lot travelling for the moment, bien sûr, so these little sketches remind me that actually this is possible, and so it will be one day!

And some flip through my Marseille pages with city lights and view in this little video:

So long time I haven't visited you, my luv blog

But I did visited some other places and so now I can drop some of these places, incorporated in my photos and sketchbooks.

Pastry and Lemons

To make my photoshop illustations for editions, web and prints, I usually take my quick sketches that I made in my daily life and travels.

This Choux pasty watercolor sketch, that I used for magazine article, was made in Naumburg, Germany:

Here, we needed to add some fruits in the menu booklet -- So I took this sketch from Istanbul: lemon, new bag and Galata Tower:

Bumble BEE

Nature Illustration Bumble Watercolor Graphic

Uffffa. I almost finished my university, it's just a week and I'm free person with a great diploma of BAC+4! I'm graphic and web designer now (almost now), but I stay with my watercolor sketching forever.

My recent crush -- BUMBLE BEE. I saw a very very black bumble bee in the hollyhock (la rose trémière) in my garden. He was so black and so fluffy, so I decided that french bumble bees are flying cats. Then I found a lot of interesting facts about them:

1. They have a pollen baskets on its paws.

2. They belong to the kingdom ANIMALIA. So do we, human beings. It means that we and bumbles are citizens of the same kingdom.

Nîmes -- Musée des Beaux Arts

In August I went to Nîmes, Yan was already there for work and I joined him just for a weekend. I made a whole sketchbook about its streets and people, but for the moment here are some pages that I made in the Fine Arts Museums.

This is a miniature tiny sculpture of a laundry girl:

Nîmes Week-end

Hi les ami(e)s ! Last weekend we spent in Nimes, ex outpost of the Roman Empire in France. I've been there once few years ago and even shown something here. But now my brain has changed. Or my eyes. I became too greedy for all these new points of the planet, so full of history and unknown new spirit that every new place gives you every time you're arrive there.

This is my pause at the Place of Herbes, in the Bar de Beaux Arts:

Pitty that I had just a couple of days, since there are so many things to draw, paint and put for good in a head or at least sketchbook .

So there again are some café sketches with some journaling on the run. It's good to have pencils, glue-stick and adhesive tape in the bag! Me and my husband in the bar L'instan T

I want to promise to show all the other things that I saw and drew a little -- streets, restaurants, roofs, gardens, museums of Nîmes -- but I promised Istanbul already, I remember. Also, a month ago I was in Saint-Pétersbourg! Oh Dieu, how I'd LOVE to show it all here! So I promise nothing, but I do keep it all in my mind! SeeU ❤

Istanbul Moments in pages

5 days in Istanbul with Dad were SOOO good! There's too much different stories, so I'd just show some picture without many words, d'accord? And since I took my carnet there, I made some quick sketches right on place to catch a moment directly.

So for example this spread - School and Cat, breakfast and Blue Mosque

Olives and others

Hi there! Again, I found my notebook where I write my notes in the office during the meetings. And you know, sometimes it's realy boring and too long, these meetings, you know,,,, so I scribble something to awake myself. That day it was a page with a hand and a few pages with some cactus and olives (I painted it later! Not on the meeting, even I'd love to),

Sarlat little town

One year ago, almost, in May, we made an amazing travel all together -- me and Yan, Kent and Papa, and John and Mary from Cambridge (also from Norfolk). It was little medieval town in the southwestern France, in a region of the Périgord Noir -- Sarlat la Caneda, one of the towns most representative of 14th century France.

Saint Félix Lauragais, Severac and Ciccolini

And now I'm going to tell you a wonderful Devotion Story. I discovered it in this little town Saint-Félix-Lauragais.

I've been there couple of times before, it was full of people, and then once we came there

with my Dadd.

It was autumn, it was cloudy and rainy - the weather I love the most
